Hola! I'm Kathleen Murdock, and I'm very exciting to be teaching Spanish for a 5th year Heards Ferry! I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, then moved with my family to Roswell, Georgia. I completed my undergraduate degree from UGA in Elementary Education and Spanish, and completed my master's degree from Georgia State in Elementary Education.
I am thrilled to be combining Elementary Education and Spanish to provide a new curriculum as a specials class. We will be exploring the fundamentals of the language as well as Spanish and Latin American culture, which are sure to make my class both enlightening and tons of fun! My love of language and culture throughout my education has brought me a great deal of insight to share with HFE, such as my such as my summer spent living in Costa Rican communities as shown in my picture. I believe that language and culture are truly beautiful aspects of our world though which which we can connect, and I cannot wait to continue to share them and all they have to offer with our wonderful students and community!
